Essay Update

Essay Prompt: Informing an adult about your high school struggles, accomplishments, & dreams.

    During my high school experience I have encountered many difficult situations. It has not been easy, however there has been memories that I can never forget and moments that have motivated me to do more with myself. High school is really helping me take the steps needed to allow me happiness and success in my future. As I said before, happiness is apart of this experience although there are serious struggles.
   
    In high school I have come to understand the consequences of procrastination. Every time I procrastinate it causes bad grades. This is because of lack of preparation. Also, procrastination causes stress. When unprepared and with a limited time, I have to rush and cram things into my schedule. A choice to do what I want and to do or what I needed to do, came in. Being unbalanced is scary and unsafe for my future. I needed ways to overcome the weakness in my academic life.

    Despite the troubles and hardships I have made more than one accomplishment. I have figured out different techniques in order to see myself succeed. Working hard. Just recently I had got my first C on my physical science test. It made me happy to know I can get that grade in a subject that I have much trouble in. I have made friends with teachers and tutors and have put trust in what they teach me as far as information but also skills. I have also been able to create a dance club with students from my school, this helps me stay focused on my dreams and focal point of my future.

    What I hope to accomplish from here on into my future is graduating with my high school diploma and an Associate's degree in Arts from Early College High School at LCCC. I hope to teach as a dance teacher. Expand my learning at a university, and use the knowledge I have learned from high school to be successful in college. Most importantly make the ones who care most about me proud. When I do I will thank everyone who has never let me give up.

    In conclusion, a struggle such as procrastination has in some way help me grow. I have taken big steps toward a better standing for myself now and in the future. Going after things I love and will always cherish. I know I will make it through the ups and downs of high school. As I move forward towards my aspirations I come to understand myself more of a leader and less of a confused teenager. Joyfulness is a great aspect to the experience although difficult times may occur.
