What is... Sacrifice

I am almost certain most may  know or have heard of someone who has risked their life for others. Most Christians might think of Jesus. For others they might think of someone in which they have read about. What is an act of offering something precious of yours? The word sacrifice can be used under plenty of circumstances, for example: Sacrificing blood, food or animals to God. Even dying for someone right now. If a young child is in the middle of a fight and a parent of friend steps in, this will be sacrificing time and energy that is theirs for someone that they know and care about, not willing to let them get hurt. People have a conscience and heart. Figuratively speaking, since we all have hearts and consciences it is the way we use them that differs self-sacrificing humans contrasted to the ones who will do what is nesscessary to save themselves first. I believe that people who put others before themselves are humble, their heart condition is in the good. They would not mind spending time for others before themselves and they may even die for people. Not only ones they love but anyone who seems to be in trouble. If they have something important to get done and something else comes up that situation will become more important to them and that is sacrifice. As for the people who do what they want first, those men are haughty and greedy. Which will cause them great heart ache in the long run.

Grandmother Charlotte

My "mama" died when I just turning one year old, she was my mother's mother. I met her when I was maybe 9 months, of course that is an age in which I was not done developing a mind of my own. I have no memory of her. If I could meet one person from the past it would be her because she had her ways of raising my mother and my mother has her mother's ways of raising me and my sister. I imagine us dancing, Salsa, all around her little house in California. I love to dance, so does my mother therefore I assume she would as well. Only if this could happen, I believe that we would wake up early on special days and prepare big dinners for the family to join us at night. My mother gets her cooking skills from Charlotte. If my mama was still alive, I would like to ask her how she overcame the troubles I have heard she experienced. If she had ever felt like giving up, or if days she just cried without holding a specific reason in her hand. I can look at a picture of her when she was 20 years old and see through her eyes that she was strong. Her responses to me would probably be something like, "God doesn't give you anything you can't handle" or, "Remain strong Nuni bug, I know you'll take the right steps and leave your footprints in the sand". Charlotte raised my mother well, my mother raised me the best she could. I hope one day I can be a great mother and not disappoint either one of them.

Winter Vacation on the Beach

Christmas break for me was warm, sunny, and surrounded by tons of oranges. I live in Ohio but I visited the Sunshine state, Florida. My father's family and my friends live down there. Every time I visit I go to the amusement parks, and I will love those places until the day I die. However this year was my year to relax, catch up with family, and visit the best of the best beaches down there. I enjoyed many fun activities but the one moment that I am sharing today with my blog is that day of nothing but sand in my feet, seagulls at my bag of snacks, and the Sun's light-rays hitting my eyes. When being by the water I really feel a sense of burden being lifted up off of my shoulders. It helps me to free my mind of worries and focus of myself along with people/choices that are important to me. Sometimes people tend to not give themselves enough credit for doing what they do... In the moment, I knew I was feeling how I deserved to. In that point in time I ran through the ocean and seen the most beautiful scenes. This really was the highlight to my vacation.
